I have a few movie recorded on my computer and I wanna put them on discs. Is it possible an if so how.

Hi Jace:
The short answer is "yes", as long as your computer has a DVD-R/RW (burn-capable drive, and not a DVD-ROM read-only drive), and you have DVD-authoring software.
You didn't say what kind of computer you have (Mac or PC, and what model #) which would help when determining your DVD hardware and recommending what software to use.
With simple "burning software" like Nero or Roxio, you can transfer video files to a DVD, but this is not the same as "authoring" a DVD, which adds the proper auto-play files and menu screens to allow any DVD player to play the disc.
Authoring programs like iDVD (for Macs) and Windows DVD Maker (for PCs) were included with some previous O/S versions, but aren't currently included free with current releases.
There are a large number of DVD authoring programs, freeware and otherwise. Here's a good list (with clickable links for more info on each) provided by Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_DVD_authoring_applications
For more step-by-step how-to info, you can search on YouTube and various user forums for actual guides.

Im looking for a free program/software that would tell me what kind of components my computer has. Im trying to add things and i need to know the type of device.for example there are different types of harddrives i would like a program that would tell me the type such as ata,and tell me the kind of memory my computer has,processor slot and stuff like that. does anyone know such a program that is free?
