Q. The program installed itself on my computer and now its claiming everything I do is infected. I cant even open folders or my task manager. I can't download anything and I'm even shocked it lets me on here. I know its a virus but I can't seem to remove it. HELP!

Answer
I just learned how, and so far it has worked for me. It will take about 1 day, so prepare to do something in the meantime. My way is time consuming, but once you do it, you are free and clear. No more surprises and completely taken off, not even 1 bug.

Antiviro service pro, is a fake scam, that actually puts malware on your computer, forcing programs to not execute, conning ppl to buy their services. They make it hard to remove. And, they force your internet to constently go to their isp number. However, there is a way....free and all.

1) Shut down computer and reboot in 'safe-mode' with 'networking.'
2) Open internet explorer.
3) Click on tools.
4) Click on internet options, then connections, then LAN.
5) Click on Advance (on bottom), and delete out the isp address info that the virus puts in. It is usually a number like 12608 (I can't remember actually, but you can't miss them) and another set of numbers.
6) Click on OK. Then OK on 'yes.' Then click 'Apply' and 'Ok' all the way, closing out.
7) On your search bar, go to Malewarebyte.
8) Download. Wait for free version for it will take you to cnet, and also click if needed to allow it to start if pop-up asks you.
9) Follow the tradional "Run" and "Install" method.
10) Once program on, start running a full scan. (THIS IS THE HOUR LONG WAIT).
11) Common sense at this point......., when scan completed, then remove the virus and other malware it picked up. There are self-direct buttons.
12) It will ask to start computer, so re-start and it will come back to normal.
13) Once up and running, re-open the Malwarebyte program, and click through tabs to remove anything it found. Just delete what you can.

Here comes part 2.

1) Go to windows defender at microsoft downloads. There, look for the virus removal care program.
2) Download it, and let it run. This took my computer about a full night. Let it run and walk away.
3) Follow instructions next morning and remove all.

Here is Part 3:
1) Remove you virus program and reinstall. I use AVG. RE-start computer.

You are done. It is all off, and your computer is back to normal.

Good Luck.

Difference between information systems and information technology and their career path?

Harold

Hello everybody!
I want to pursue a career in the computer field, but I am not sure which career path to follow. Would you please tell me more about Computer Information systems and Information technology, and their career path? I would like to be a computer technician/ Network administrator. I am a more hands on computer person/ technical person, I am more into building computers, fixing them, install software, replace hardware, clean them etc. Which career path should I follow Information technology or computer information systems. Please help me so I can choose the right degree. Thank you so much for taking time reading this, have a good day!

Answer
Info Sys, Info Tech and Computer Information Systems are pretty equivalent majors and as others have mentioned you will need to look at the underlying classes to determine which one better suits your needs. Colleges have latitude in these degree titles and the underlying courses so each school will be different on the content of a specific major. Either of these degrees should be fine for the technical and Administration work you are seeking.

In contrast, a Computer Science degree is more about programming and less about Administration. Unless you want to be a Programmer I would steer clear of CS - a tough major and often includes advanced math courses.

Hardware is the way that many of us got started in IT. We started out working on our own computers and soon were the official computer repair person for other family members and friends.

However, we quickly learned it is not really that great an area for advancement. You see on the desktop and server side, attitudes have changed in how we look at hardware. On the desktop side of things it used to be that desktop technicians would go out to the customer's cubicle and work on their computer taking as long as it took to replace motherboards, hard drives, etc. Even if it took a few hours to fix they would do that. These days if the repair takes over a few minutes the technician will just hand the user another computer and start the transfer of data and be on their way in 15 minutes. Many businesses have switched to a very large percentage of laptops to make this replacement process easier. They will set up service center manned by a very small number of staff who service users bringing their computers to the center for service.

On the server side many of the nodes are virtual machines and there is really not any hardware connected with a given server - just some large hosting hardware.

So the idea of doing hardware related stuff is great for the short term but will be limiting for you in the long term. You will want to starting looking towards doing Systems Administration, Computing Security, Networking and Active Directory work. Here is a short list of jobs you could look at with a Bachelors degree in the majors you listed.

Computer Technician, Service Center Coordinator, Help Desk Staff, Storage Administrator, Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, Enterprise Administrator, Active Directory Administrator, Exchange and Messaging Administrator, Backup Administrator, Disaster Recovery Specialist, Database Administrator, Computing Security Specialist, Corporate IT Acquisition Specialist and Data Center Administrator, just to name a few.

In a small business the list above might be one or two people doing all these jobs. In a large Enterprise environment this could be hundreds of people.

Best wishes!
