Q. I'm looking for information about a BSoD i keep getting, as well triple booting my computer, linux help, (various general tech info), etc. What is the best website (other than Yahoo answers) to consult?

Any specific computing help site will not have ALL the problems associated with BSoDs (there are dozens, if not hundreds or thousands), not to mention the other things you are looking for. And, if someone used one way to solve a specific BSoD, the same way might not work for you. Googling the problem works best.

What is the best processor to be used for a desktop used for engineering and programming purposes?

I am building a desktop that I will use primarily for programming and engineering (lot o' number crunching). More info: the computer will run linux/ubuntu more than likely and money isn't the critical factor, however economic efficiency is important. I was leaning towards an intel core i5 but am interested in opinions. What are the most important factors?

Intel charges way more than AMD. If you found 2 equally good processors from both of them, the Intel one would cost much more. BTW, this site is trustworthy to buy off of.
