I am going to college and I can't figure out wich degree to pursue. My two choices are Accounting or business information systems. Does any one know what which one would pay better and which one would I have an easier time landing a job. Thank you for your help.

I have an interesting idea for you. Like someone else said, double majoring in both may be a great career opportunity. As an accountant, chances are at one time or another you're going to work on the audit end. A lot of times companies have very complex computer info systems that companies use to handle their accounting transactions.
There is a designation called the CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor). Because of Sarbanes Oxley, publicly traded companies I believe are required to have an IT audit annually. If you had a CPA and a CISA designation you would be very marketable. However, most states require that you have at least 150 credit hours to become a licensed CPA. Some people will major in accounting and either get an MSA or MBA to complete the remaining 30 hours. Some people choose to double major in either finance, CIS or even computer science.
So, to answer the question about money. If you had a CPA and CISA designation (many accountants have multiple designations) you would bank major coin. You also would probably have no problems finding a job as long as you were willing to relocate, depending where you are now.
However, on the one or the other side, I think an accountant is probably going to make more money than an information systems person. I believe public accounting firms are averaging 45K to 55K starting off. I don't know what the starting salary for IT people is.
One important thing to remember now that you are starting out. GPA is extremely important with accounting. They may forgive a slip-up one semester, but competition is fierce for the best jobs. If you have to study six hours for every accounting class... do it.

What can I do with a degree in Computer Information Systems?

There's a program at my local tech school where you get an associate's in computer technology from them and then transfer to a university and get a BA in Computer Information Systems. (Or you can choose Information Management and Systems.) What are the differences between these two and what kinds of jobs can you get? Thank you so much!

I don't personally know the answer, but the U.S. Dept. of Labor has a wonderful website that offers all the information you need and then some. http://www.bls.gov/oco/ - Occupational Outlook Handbook. It has a search function on the first page where you can enter your interests and it will give you all the education required information, list schools in your area, give you salary info as well and suggest other occupations related to that search.
