I just got the Dell InspironOne and having trouble connecting my wifi for internet. Do I need a wireless card in order for Wifi to be compatible. Or can I just even hook up my Ethernet cable. Please help with easy steps. Not so much of a computer geek. Thanks.

P.s I really want Wifi to be more compatible. Since I do use wifi more with my laptop and ipod touch.

Answer
You need a wireless router if you want to receive wifi signals to your netbook. You said you have another laptop and an iPod touch. Where are they getting the wifi signal from?

If you already have a wireless router, all you need is to get the wifi password from your other laptop by running this on that other laptop:

Or go to that other laptop, click on the wifi signal on the taskbar, right click on the connection and see the wifi password.

If your new laptop isn't picking up the wifi signal then the wifi adapter is probably switched off to save power. Read the manual for more info.

why do computer slow down to the point that it cant be fixed anymore and gaming becomes impossible?

Hi, I am no computer geek and i have little knowledge about it.. anyway, i had several computers already and i am currently using a pentium 3.. i also bought a good video card, dont know bout the specs cause i got my bro fix it for me. so anyway, at first couple of months, the game i play is super smooth and fast. no mini lags whatsoever. but over time, it becomes slow and now it has gotten to the point that opening ms word will take you 20 secs and you cant even view youtube videos anymore because of the lag..

my vid card i think is fine cause i switched it with a better one and the lag still persists. im talking about a serious lag where i cant seem to do anything anymore aside from typing in a notepad or word.. i had it formatted. the problem is still there.. whats funny is that this happened to all my 4 computers.. the other 3 was disposed already. and i want to make sure that it is a faulty hardware before i get a new one again.. so is it a virus? or is it normal for a computer to wear down if you use it mainly for games? here are some info that might help you answer this:

1. Computer is on for at least 15 hours or more a day.
2. sometimes it's on for 24 hours (too many people using)
3. my bro surfs for porn but we gave avast anti virus installed.

so is my problem common? are computers meant to slow down if you mainly use it for games? or is it a virus or hardware overheat or something? please dont give too much technical terms because like ive said, i am a computer noob.. thank you..

Answer
Computers slowing down is very common.... a computer is just like a person, the older someone gets, the slower they get, it doesn't matter what computer you get, its gonna slow down eventually, also depending on how old it is. if you were to make some other upgrades to it, it will probably speed up.
