Mechanical or otherwise. Preferably something like making movie sets and what not. Couldn't really find much info online so anyone who knows anything at all it would be great if you could help me out. I'm going to be an undecided engineering major as a freshmen this fall.
Examples include the zero gravity rotating corridor from Inception or the moving staircases from the Harry Potter movies. Both of which used moving sets as opposed to computer graphic imaging

How do you install mods for sims 3 on a mac?
Q. I really want to install some custom content but i have no idea how. All the info online is for a PC, and i have a mac. Im not great with computers so i won't understand any tech talk :L
Answer
Try my simple guide here for installing mods (package files): http://scribblingsbyme.blogspot.com/p/tutorial-installing-package-file.html - it's based on PC set up but I've added in some guidance for Mac users, it's really not that different for Mac users, and I've made the instructions very easy to understand. You should be fine with that one. If not then there's a link on that page to a different guide that you can try.
For sims3pack file custom content (the files with the sims 3 logo) then you install them the same way a PC user would install them -save the file to your Downloads folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Downloads) and they'll appear in the Downloads section of your game launcher next time you run it to select and install :)
