When you setup a local network you have to give it a name. By default the name is WORKGROUP. Not something to worry about.

Why am I having RAM issues on Parallels Desktop 6?

J.D.

I am running Windows XP on Parallels Desktop 6. Every time I configure the RAM to be 4gb, it isn't 4GB in the virtual machine. I go to the computer info in the virtual machine and it says I only have about half as much RAM as I set it to. What should I do?

Answer
1st ur xp is probably 32 bit - it can't address 4GB since it needs to use some of that address space to talk to other hardware in the system.
2nd u might have shared memory graphics which means more of the 4gb is used for that.

typically 4gb = 3.2gb in 32bit machines
take another 256mb or more for video and ur below 3gb.
