My son wants to sell his laptop online. I know that there are ways to retrieve info even after you clean the cache, run crap cleaner, etc..
Is there something he should do to ensure that his personal info isn't jeopardized before he sells it?

Sorry formatting wont help. Don't sell the Hard Disk unless he has Demagnetized it. Sell the balance.

Quite simply, you don't. The built in video cards that come on most motherboards are really low end. They use shared memory, which is really slow, and they don't have very good Direct3D or OpenGL support. If you want decent gaming performance, you pretty much have to install an external video card.
