I need to interview a programmer about his/her career choices, however, i don't know any.

Does anybody know where i could find a willing computer programmer?

Answer
It is not an easy task to choose the best computer programmer with good programming skills. First choose them based on the programming skills they know. Check out this:

Step 1

There are many programming languages to choose from, and some are harder than others. Some good first programming languages are Python and Perl. They are easy to learn for a beginner, yet they are still very powerful languages that will still be useful when you become more advanced. Get a good book that will teach you one of these languages. Do not get those "For Dummies" books or any other book that promises to teach you programming in 2 days. They do not go into any depth. I like pretty much any of the books by O'Reilly publishers, but make sure it is geared towards beginners. There are also many great programming tutorials online for free.

Step 2

Once you have learned either Python or Perl enough that you can write basic programs more or less from memory, it is time to learn a more advanced language. A good next step is C or C++. They are very similar to each other, and both very powerful languages. They can get difficult, which is why you want to learn either Python or Perl first. However, C/C++ will teach you a lot about what is going on when Python or Perl is running.

Step 3

Once you have learned either Python or Perl and C/C++, move on to another language. Eventually, you should learn: Python, Perl, C/C++, and Lisp. You should also learn Java if you plan on doing any web development. If not, maybe glance over it anyway, but don't spend too much time on it. Java is not very good on the desktop (its very sluggish), but is excellent for web-based applications. Also, be warned that Lisp is not easy. Save that for when you already know programming pretty well.

Step 4

To learn programming, you should also talk to other programmers. Find out where they learned how to program, and go there to learn more. Also, talk to them and see if you can work on a project with them. This will teach you more skills than any book.

Step 5

Read computer code. See how other people write their programs. Try and learn at least one new thing every time you look at some code.

Step 6

Hang out on newsgroups and forums related to computer programming. Ask questions, and try to answer questions when you can. Not only will you learn more this way, but you will meet other programmers and gain their respect.

Step 7

Write your own code. You will never become a fluent programmer unless you actually write some computer code. Be patient and stick with it until you get it to work. If you need help, ask someone. When it finally works, you will look back and realize how much you have learned.

Check out the job search sites which has plenty of programmers resume with full details. From that u can select the best programmer.

I hope these info's will help u a lot. In addition to this, check out this link:

This site is actually a marketplace where u can get and post works. I hope this will be more helpful.
Make the best use of it...!!!

What program can I use to keep my laptop from being searched into via same network acces?

Kalley

I share wireless network with a few family members. What can I do to make sure they can't get into my computer (from another computer) to view things? I have a snoopy person who manages the network.
I have all those turned off, but he can still get into it.

Answer
Then you need encryption
http://www.filehippo.com/download_truecrypt/
This is a great open source program(FREE)

A little info
TrueCrypt is a software system for establishing and maintaining an on-the-fly-encrypted drive. On-the-fly encryption means that data are automatically encrypted or decrypted right before they are loaded or saved, without any user intervention. No data stored on an encrypted volume can be read (decrypted) without using the correct password or correct encryption key. Until decrypted, a TrueCrypt volume appears to be nothing more than a series of random numbers. The entire file system is encrypted (i.e., file names, folder names, contents of every file, and free space).

This software is highly recommended for securing data on laptops.

Now the ONLY way someone can get in and unscramble your info is figuring out your password
I would do this
Have 2 passwords
That way if the (boss, parents, school) forces you to give out your password. Give them a dummy password(the password should work)
and put in some (file text info) that you don't care about.
example:secret shopping list for christmas and a couple of stuff to believable

A common senerio, mom comes in and demands password or "your grounded or threatening to take away the car ". Give them the dummy password(parent trap) that will lead them to garbage info like "who to shop for christmas". They won't find anything bad.

But in reality your other password will lead to your secret info that can be maintained

What do you think
You still need protection against software that monitors your keyboard typing
Use this program to enter your password (That way special programs that dad put on the computer won't get the password)

It's a special virtual keyboard, you click on the letters and numbers on the screen. The only thing a KEYLOGGER CAN RECORD IS YOUR MOUSE CLICKS. There is no password to record because you typed it in with a mouse.

then go to
Neo's SafeKeys 2008 - http://www.aplin.com.au/?page_id=368 Image:Stars50.gifImage:Stars50.gifImage:Stars50.gifImage:Stars50.gif
and download "neos safekeys 2008" <----It's free

If people want to be sneaky to you, you can respond in kind
