What does a computer hardware engineer do?

I have a burning passion for computers and how they work. What I want to do is help make processors and help design computer parts and stuff for big companies(AMD, INTEL), create revolutionary electronics like Steve Jobs and more. (ALOT I KNOW)
I'm just wondering, is being a computer hardware engineer right for me? Also, what is a good college for engineering? (I love in GA).
I also accel in math, economics, and science at school!

Actually Steve Jobs was a marketer. He wasn't an engineer of any sort and didn't design any hardware (I'm not sure who told you Jobs was an engineer). A computer hardware engineer is someone who designs, develops or researches various bits of computer hardware/equipment. In other words, someone like Steve Wozniak.
You seem to be the type who likes designing stuff, so Engineering may be for you. Like Steve Wozniak, you need to be good at maths and electronics. Try buying basic electronic kits to get a basic understanding of how various components work. I do NOT recommend using Jobs as your 'idol', as he was a marketer (And engineers don't get along well with marketers).
