computer information systems major image

I am going to be a Junior in college in the fall and I am a computer information systems major, I have finished up my Gen. Eds, and will begin to start my core classes this fall. I love using computers especially my Mac pro, however I don't know any of the advanced stuff and I was wondering if there is a book or website that I can visit to get a little bit of a head start on learning some good information. Please no smart a** comments just good advice. Thank you
Answer
Find books on structured programming and algorithms rather than ones that focus on a programming language. Bad habits are hard to break and learning about programming by taking a programming language course usually leads to bad programming habits. Once you know about program structure and learn about algorithms you can take programming language classes.

Double Majoring in Computer Informations Systems and Marketing a good idea?

Njeezy
I am currently declared as a CIS(Computer Informations Systems) major at Texas State University-San Marcos, and am thinking about double majoring in both CIS and Marketing. Is that a good idea? Will I be able to find a good paying job?
Answer
It's not a BAD idea, but a degree, even with a double major, doesn't guarantee you a job these days.
