Answer
Well as you probably know, this is projected to be a growing field over next ten years. According to to the Bureau of Labor Statistics these people "Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming."
They also say that
* "employment of computer and information systems managers is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through the year 2016."
* Median annual wage is over $100k and there should be over 9,000 job openings per year.

What career can I get with an AA degree in Computer Information Technology?

md
I'm attending a community college and I plan on getting an AA in Computer Information Technology. After I graduate what types of jobs can I look for? What would be the titles of these types of jobs?
Should I transfer to a Cal State University? (I live in California)
I asked my counselor if I could transfer and she looked at me like I was dumb, then she said to "just start with an AA". I don't know what that means??
Thanks!

Online Associate Degrees can be completed while students are working and are unable to attend regular classes in traditional schools. Students should talk with school counselors and administrators for applications and information about these programs.
Associate of Arts Degrees are awarded in the social sciences and humanities, or for general studies in specific areas of concentration. Associate of Science degrees include natural sciences, technology,
and mathematics. Associate Degree credits can be transferred to a four- year college.
Requirements for Associate of Applied Science degrees are less strict. Students take fewer general education courses so that they can concentrate on course work in specified fields of science. The Associate Degree in Applied Science is meant for students who intend to enter the work force directly after graduation.
