Q. My sister is 16, totally clueless when it comes to computers. Shes on the desktop workspace right now and a website froze on her. She thinks if she turns off the computer monitor it fixes it. Also, if the computer is running slow she turns off the monitor and then turns it back on and claims it makes it run faster.
Someone explain to me so I can yell at her why the monitor has nothing to do why the computer is running slow. I know the reasons, I just need black and white answers. It's almost to stupid for me to bother to address.

Answer
lol...calm down be nice and be gentle ...
if she doesnt know that much shell prolly not understand if i explained why its running slow since with the info u gave there could be lots of issues that can slow a computer down.
best u can do is explain to her calmly and gently without getting furstrated that monitor is ot the actual computer where computing happens and u can show her the cpu that that is the actual computer...and thatmonitor is justa display device.
try using some simple example....
and if she doesnt understand then let her believe what she will least she feels it helps to turn monitor on and off lol
xcould be shes just winding u up lol i dont know

Is my computer monitor can work on my xbox 360?
I have an AOC 771S computer monitor. please search AOC (not AOS) 771S computer monitor at the google images to see its view. It has a vga cable and my xbox 360 have vga cable on it which i have a mini gender changer to connect 2 vga. now, i was wondering if this computer monitor will work for my xbox 360. please feel free to take your time to get much info.... REWARD is 5 star!
Answer
Yes, as long as you have the xbox360 vga av cable, you can use it on your monitor with the vga input. A caveat though, I did not research your particular monitor since I assumed you had a newer flat screen LCD type monitor. With that being said, if it accepts a VGA it will work.

Remember, that you will not get sound though and will have to use the sound output RCA cables, RED and WHITE, in conjunction with a set of powered speakers. Remember to adjust the screen resolution from your xbox's settings from the dashboard to the resolution of your monitor and also the audio settings as well. If you don't set it correctly, the shape and appearance will be noticeably bad and will normally auto adjust back to where it was. My monitor adjusted automatically to the 16:9 aspect which is what most TV's are today, as opposed to the older tubed, rounded tv's.
Also, if you buy the Microsoft brand cable, it comes with the audio adapter to use to a 3.5mm (standard) headphone jack so you can put it into your computers audio input and route it through that if you have speakers on your computer. That's the way I have it now and works just fine. Let me know if you get it working right. Cheers.
