And where I can find that info. Thanks.
Answer
What type of motherboard and power supply you have is the best starting point. Things like CPU speed and RAM amount are usually trivial until you pick a card that you want. Most higher end video cards need a fairly beefy (350-400 watts+) power supply.
When looking for the type of slot, If you have AGP or PCI Express, those are the two most common interfaces.
Programs like CPU-Z can generate information on your motherboard, or if you open the case up and take a peek inside, look for the expansion slots on the motherboard. A short brown one is AGP, and a longer white (sometimes black or another color) one (usually longer than the other white ones) is PCIExpress.
Here's a couple of images to show you what they look like

How do you determine the specifications/ Model of your desktop computer if it is not written on the CPU? 10pts
On my last desktop it was written on the actual CPU but on this one all it says is how big is my hard drive is, what type of processor, what memory it has, etc...
Thank You!

AMD has a program that will allow you to identify the exact model of your processor: AMD CPUInfo. I heard there's an intel version as well.
When you boot your computer, the post screen will show the exact model of the motherboard and the graphics card. Usually, you can press "tab" to show the post screen.
Cpu-Z and GPU-Z show some information, but aren't as accurate as programs direct from the manufacturer.
nTune and NVidia Monitor show some GPU info.
