computer info from command prompt image

Recently, i restarted my computer and received the following message:
"We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.
If your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files and folders, choose Last Known Good Configuration to revert to the most recent settings that worked.
If a previous startup attempt was interrupted due to a power failure or because the Power or Reset button was pressed, or if you aren't sure what caused the problem, choose Start Windows
Normally.
Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked) Start Windows Normally
Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice.
Seconds until Windows starts: 30"
After I tried all of the 5 given options, but whenever i do so, windows proceeds to only a blue flash of a screen and then takes me back to the same menu over and over again.
I CANNOT LOGIN AT ALL even in safe mode (by login, i mean i cannot access the desktop part at all - in case im not explaining it right).
I attempted to perform a Repair installation of Windows via my instalation cd, but it just took me to a blue screen saying there was a problem and it had to shut down to prevent damage. It also told me this: ***0x0000000A (0xcdcdcdcd, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x80819b92)
Additonal info:
My laptop is a DELL pentium M.
Also, i'd rather keep the data on my computer.
Thank you in advance for any help given.
NOTE: i used another computer to use yahoo

Did you change anything recently? If so, change it back. if not, you might have a problem with hardware. Here's an easy test... if you have two memory chips, try one at a time. Check the link above for more troubleshooting tips. Good luck.

How do i get my iPod to become a drive (with a drive letter) in my computer?

sherry c
I am trying to get the Pod Player software from ipodsoft.com to work with my computer and ipod so i can transer the songs on my ipod back onto my computer from which they were previously deleted. However, the program can not find my ipod, and it says "make sure that your ipod is a drive in My Computer before running this application". Then it says if it is plugged in with a drive letter but the program still can't find it then you can use the pod player with a command prompt using the drive letter. Unfortunately, my ipod comes up in My Computer under the Scanners and Cameras category with no drive letter showing. So any info on how to get a drive letter or how to find the drive letter or anything on how to allow this program to find and work with my ipod would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

Open iTunes. Plug your iPod into the computer and click on the iPod in the "Devices" menu when it comes up. You should check the box that says "enable disk use". Now your iPod will have a drive letter when you plug it in and you can also use it like an external hard drive if you have any room on it.
By the way, if you have the newest version of iTunes, you might not need 3rd party software to get those songs back onto your computer. When your iPod is plugged in, click "file" and go down towards the bottom of the pull-down menu. There should be an option called "transfer purcheses from ____________ " (whatever your iPod's name is) This will make a copy of the music from your iPod in iTunes.
NOTE: I'm not sure if this actually puts the file onto your computer or just in iTunes. It does not transfer songs that you added from CDs. Also don't rely on this - this tool seems almost too good to be true if you bought someone else's iPod, then you can illegally get their old songs. So be careful, you might still want to use your Pod Player software. just an idea, though.
