Answer
To stop your computer from freezing in the middle of downloads, you need to free some of your disk space. You probably used so much disk space your computer can't handle anymore. To see how much memory you have you go to the drive C properties. I would like to recommend Patriot Media to you. It's faster than Verizon. You might be downloading too many things besides that. Another thing I would highly recommend is clear your Internet history, cookies, and temporary internet files. To do that, first, you open Internet Explorer. Next, you go to the Tools menu on the top of the screen. Go to Internet Options. Click on Delete Files, which will clear the Temporary Internet Files. If you're running Internet Explorer 6 or up, and you have a Delete Cookies button next to it, click it. If you don't see the button next to the Delete Files button, go to Settings, View Files, and delete ALL of the remaining files. When you're done, close that, and click OK on that window where you click View Files. In the Internet options, after you're done with that, click Clear History. That will clear your website history. That's all it'll do. Don't be afraid that it'll do anything else. It won't. After that, click OK. Try downloading the story you were trying to download before. If it still doesn't work, try restarting your computer, or if you're totally stuck and don't know what to do, call Verizon. I would still like to recommend Patriot Media. You can also get Fiber Optic from Verizon, which is just as fast as Verizon, if you still want to stick with Verizon.
