computer info in registry image

Jason
I am trying to reinstall a program using a different serial number but the computer knows that I am using a different serial number. The info is somewhere in the registry but where ? I could reinstall but only after formatting the hard drive and reinstalling the OS which I don't want to do. There is something in the registry which has to be removed. I also need to remove " Starforce " which is incompatible with Windows Vista. Any suggestions ??

What is making my computer run slow and freeze up?
Q. The computer runs normal when first booted but if you try to do several processes at once it will freeze. I have throughly check the computer for Viruses and Spyware the system is clean. Also when the computer freezes or runs very slow the CPU is reading 99% idol, so no processes are running. Do you think it could be a memory or hard drive issue?
I've killed all unnecessary services and remove all items from MSCONFIG and the System Registry. Also, I have over 20 GB of free space on my hard drive. The system is a HP Laptop, with 1 GB of memory.
Thanks for your reponses.
