computer info on background image

angicolts
I am relocating to Harper's Ferry in April due to my boyfriends job. Right now I work at a community college and would like that kind of work again. The problem is that colleges and universities like to hire within. I have an AAS in Computer Info Systems. Any suggestions on how or where to look?
Answer
Don't make too many assumptions about the job market you'll find in West Virginia. Most employers like to promote from within (if they are smart), but they usually can't do that even 50% of the time, so don't be discouraged. With your background and experience, I bet you find a good job there.
There are a number of places to look:
* Job-Hunt.org - http://www.job-hunt.org/jobs/westvirginia.shtml
Lists over 50 employers and job sites in West Virginia, including several colleges.
* Craigslist.org - http://geo.craigslist.org/iso/us/wv
Craigslist is a giant online classified ads site where people place mostly free ads. It lists 7 locations in West Virginia. Check the "jobs" and the "gigs" (short-term job assignments) for opportunities. If you need help understanding how to use it, check out Job-Hunt's Guide to Using Craigslist to Find a Job - http://www.job-hunt.org/onlinejobsearchguide/article_guide_to_craigslist.shtml
* Indeed.com - http://www.indeed.com
Indeed is a job aggregator, which means they collect job postings from large job sites (Monster, CareerBuilder, HotJobs) and smaller ones, online classifieds (but not Craigslist), and employer Websites. When you find a job you like, you apply on the originating site. Cool!
* Your college's Career Center
They usually support graduates for a long time after they graduate, so stop to see if they have any connections to people in WV. Or visit the school Website. Often, they have lists of alums who volunteer to act as mentors or information resources for other alums. They may even have job postings or lists of employers.
* Work Force West Virginia - http://www.wvbep.org/bep/default.htm
The West Virginia Employment Office will have job postings, employer listings, and people to help you find a job.
* Harper's Ferry Yellow Pages
Your local library may have the paper version of the local West Virginia Yellow Pages. Look for local colleges or universities located in or near Harper's Ferry.
You'll be fine!

How Can I stop my computer from freezing every 4 minutes?

coolguy
I need help please, my computer keeps freezing every 4 minutes, and I keep having to just shut it down with the button that i have on my laptop. I need help fixing this. PLEASE!
Answer
Not nearly enough info to figure out whats going on but you could need more ram, need more hd space (delete some old stuff), or you may need to turn off some programs. You could have to many start up programs running in the background clogging up your system. You could also have a virus or some sort of malware/spyware that is connecting to the internet to spread and slowing your computer. There are tons more things that could be wrong but those are a few.
