My computer is redirecting when I use a search engine, why?
marsi2865
When ever I use a search engine the result page comes up then it redirects to some another page that has the name of what I searched on it but the links have nothing to do with the info I am looking for. Example: looking up Independece Hall the redirected search pages shows a link to ebay. What is up with my computer? Please help.
Answer
"a link to ebay. What is up with my computer? Please help.:
That's your clue right there. What's up with your computer?
You've been infected with a browser hijacker, that's what's up. Probably if you click on the link it will offer you some software to clear up the problem that the software developers already created with their malware or it will offer you repair services from some shady outlet or further compromise your system by trying to infect it with something else that requires you to click on a link to gain entrance to your computer.
Try one of these programs and see if they can fix it for you.
