Computer virus google homepage/audio question?

Sooner

Some info....
When I click a link from Yahoo Search results it's goes to google's homepage. It happens a lot. Also I could not open Task Manager on several occasions. It would load Task manager but then immediately turn off. My audio hardware just stops working. I restart the computer and change the modem line to Real HD audio and it works. But then it just stops working again. I have antivirus software but it's not picking it up. I have updated just about everything.

My Question....
Is there something I can do? A program that wipes this out?

Answers appreciated.

Is a MIDI controller and computer enough hardware to run Pro Tools 8?

I have the Pro Tools 8 software, and want to start a home studio just for fun at home. I'm wondering what the bare minimum I need is to run the software. I know you need some kind of interface just to use the software, but would a MIDI controller keyboard such as the M-Audio Oxygen 49 49-Key USB MIDI Controller be sufficient instead of something like and M-Box?

Answer
The controller probably won't allow you to use Pro Tools 8.

There are different versions of the software.

Pro Tools LE requires some kind of Mbox to function.

Pro Tools M-Powered needs an M-Audio interface to work. This can get tricky, so if you need detailed compatibility info check out m-audio.com.

There's also an iLok usb key involved, I think.

If you want less of a headache, Avid decoupled version 9 of PT from specific hardware. Any audio interface will work, not just M-Audio / Digidesign / Avid approved devices.
