I have a virus called VBS/Generic?

Q. I have a virus called VBS/Generic, I had a virus called Ramnit/A but doesnt seem to be appearing while I scan my laptop. Ive done many full computer scans with AVG, is there any way of removing VBS/Generic or any other virus from my computer.

Running on a XP OS
Not very experienced with computers, so please explain in easiest way possible.
