.is it fast?
Fast is relevent. If you are a computer science major you know this...little bit of info here. Computer algorithms efficiency are usually "derived" from a concept called Big O notation. Basically you take the number of number of items of data you have and put it inside a function and then multiply it by a constant C (which would be computer time, which is different for all computers). O(1) represents the amount of operations in which 1 unit of data would take to be completed, O(N) is linear, then you have stuff involving exponentials and lograrithims. Why am I explaining this, it's because the software speed DEPENDS MAINLY ON YOUR COMPUTER. If you want to see how it compares to windows you would look at BENCHMARK tests, which test (on similar hardware), what machine can do something faster.
.does it lag?
This depends on your definition of lag, you have all the same networking protocols you connect to the internet with that you do in windows, but you have different programs that manage those protocols. What most people refer to lag is dependent on your internet provider.
.experienced and bug? and/or crash?
Yes, Ubuntu will crash sometimes, all computers will. There are bad programmers that develop for all operating systems. However, I typically experience more problems running windows software though WINE than I do on windows (natively running software).
.is it suitable for ur needs?
For me yes, Ubuntu is derived from Debian. They have TONS AND TONS of packages in the software repos, and it's all free!
.does it run evrything without any pain?
Running a distribution of linux is DIFFERENT than running a version of windows. You will more than likely have to EDUCATE youself on how to do things. Ubuntu has unity as it's desktop manager, it looks almost nothing like windows. Everything is in a different place, and you won't have all the same applications that you do on windows, so you can either find equivalents or find a way to make the windows program work under ubuntu (WINE).
More importantly, if you've exclusively used windows, then you've probably never had to deal with the command line. This is different in linux. You will more than likely run into SOME problem eventually with Ubuntu, and have to fix it yourself; sometimes you can't avoid going to the command line.
Seriously though, give it a try, but keep your mind open and visit the ubuntu forums for any questions that you have

Any body here knows about UBUNTU? Can you help me pls?

Don't look
I have got Ubuntu installed on my new computer. So I had some questions.
Why do ppl say Ubuntu is difficult? I found it good.
Can anyone tell me, what's the difference between Ubuntu and Windows?
And/or How are they inter-related?
Which one would you prefer and why?
Any additional info you would like to share?
And can I have both Ubuntu and Windows on my system?
If that helps I have Dell Inspiron N4050.
*anybody
Jazak Allah!
Much more clear answers than I got in software section.
Answer
Yes ubuntu is good stylish but when comes to user friendly nothing comes first better than Windows(xp 7 ) .
*Windows software comes in .exe files, which you are expected to get from the internet easily(major advantage) and from store less. This is more reliable and cheap.
*Ubuntu software comes in packages, which are installed and updated through a centralized system, like a more powerful version of Windows Update and Add/Remove Programs.
*Ubuntu has a home folder, which is fairly similar to My Documents in Windows. You can access this folder by clicking Places > Home Folder.
*Yes you can have Dual OS, means Windows and Ubuntu
You can see some comparisons here .. check the below link
