i'm just looking at different types of c areer options. does this career involve in depth math? i'm not great in math, and was wondering if i need that skill for this career?

Anything in an engineering program will involve a lot of math. My education is in computer engineering. About one fourth of the classes I took were some form of math.
You might consider computer science or an information science degree program if math is not your strong suit.
Irrespective of what you do, you will probably have to take some calculus, it's a bear, but it does make you a better thinker.
I wish I had paid more attention at the time, as I've gotten older I realize how fascinating math is, but I was young and foolish and college was full of the kind of distractions that appeal to a young man.
