Currently we just signed back on with our local internet service. When we last had internet it was connecting to both laptops and the internet was working fine. But as of recently the internet signal is only reaching one of our laptops my Gateway MD7309u, the other laptop (an Acer Aspire one series netbook) is receiving the signal but the internet isn't loading on the page at all. We've tried resetting the modem and router, restarting the computer and coping the router info on the netbook, but nothing seems to work. If anyone knows how to fix this or any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Answer
Click start, run, then type cmd and at the DOS window, type ipconfig and hit the enter key. Look for the entries under the "Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection:"
If your IP address starts with a 169.... then it's your network connection. If it has actually obtained an IP address from the router, then the problem lies with your software --- you probably have a virus.
Hope this helped!

Answer
Yep run-->cmd..>ipconfig/all would tell you the IP address of your computer. For detail on RAM, graphics card and motherboard click run-->dxdiag You can also download CPU-Z from the net and that tells you your motherboard chipset as well
