I'm running on Ubuntu, and I want to find out where I can find, how much RAM I have, graphics card, memory, and processor?
Well I already found out what my processor is.
It's Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz processor
Is that fast?
Because sometimes on Youtube it goes a bit slow with HD videos. And when I have a couple of tabs open it slows everything down.
Any suggestions?
Where can I go to clear some memory?
Oh and where can I uninstall programs
ex.-Limewire, softwares downloaded onto Wine

the linux command in Ubuntu or any other flavor its "free -m" though as far as the GUI I have no idea I never install that. Windows will play youtube better ^_^. I would also check your Videocard drivers for Linux some time they can be fussy and if you messing with HD movies this could be an issue. Best of luck and Welcome to Linux enjoy makeing CRONs

Is a computer terminal the same as the computer's brain or desktop?

I'm trying to buy a computer terminal because my computer's chip burned when my fan broke and so did my hard drive so i want to know if i can use a computer terminal instead of a brain or desktop (don't know what its called)

A terminal is usually a means to interact with back end information for example in Linux it has a terminal which is the (Command line interface) this is known as a terminal. You may see terminals in train stations etc they connect to a data base to provide you with info. The brain, are you referring to the CPU which is considered the brain of the PC.
If your not familiar with PC's you may have to buy a new PC due to your CPU frying itself if you know what your doing it may be cheaper to buy a new CPU and a new HDD. Check out the site below
