i know where to look for the system info but are there other commands in finding about ur computer or system info on the run program.
Answer
There are many ways to find out info about your computer. Here are some, in order of difficulty (and complexity of information given):
- Right-click on the "My Computer" icon on the desktop. The "System Properties" menu will pop up, giving you info on the speed, amount of memory, name of computer, installed hardware, and internet connection.
- From the "System Properties" menu, browse through the menu until you find a button that says "Device Manager." Click this button and you will be able to browse through a tree chart that lists all the hardware components of your computer.
- Bring up the "Run" dialogue box by selecting it from the Start Menu or pressing WINKEY + R. Type in gpedit.msc and press Enter. A box will come up with a tree-type navigation pane in the corner and a window that will allow you to browse through or set many of the more advanced software components of the computer.
Good luck!
