They don't actually block command prompt itself, but they somehow block the commands run in it.

if you want to enable the command prompt on a works computer don't you'll get in trouble but if it's your own computer then check this out http://windowsxp.mvps.org/disablecmd.htm it info on enabling or disabling the command prompt

my friend gave my a computer from a woman she knew at her job ,the question is she does not know how to get into the pc because it keeps asking for name date password that nobody knows it is a compac presiro how do i reset it without the passwords it lets you on as a guest but you cannot download without the main persons info help someone

right when u press the on button on your computer continuously press f8 and until you see a black screen and arrow down untill you see "start in command prompt" and when it boots up type without the quotes. "net user" and then u will see a list of the users on your computer and weh you know the one you want next type for example: "net user administrator * " dont forget the asterisk or it will not work, so type is your desired password shudown and boot up regularly and type in your new password!
