I am looking for details on computer specs. such as put in the model number and it will tell you the number of ram slots and the type of ram it supports...I would like that for notebook and desktop.
Also I would like sites that give in depth information on computer hardware such as graphics cards and whatever else could be shown to me.....Any info that will get me more knowledge than i currently have would be greatly appreciated thank you

All of your RAM questions can be answered at www.crucial.com
Let it scan your computer and it will tell you what upgrades are available.
For your computer info Google siw.exe (System Info for Windows). I forgot the site I downloaded it from, but it will tell you what you want.

School for becoming a Computer Hardware Engineer?
Alex Shaff
I am going into my sophmore year in highschool and am seriously wanting to become a Computer Hardware Engineer! I have some questions about becoming one though....
-What classes should i take? I signed up for Algebra 2 and Biology as well as a couple classes leading into I.T. 1.
-How many years of college should i take? 2 years or 4 or more?
Im mostly worried about the classes right now as it would be really helpful!
Thanks!

Hi Alex! This interview with a computer engineer has the info you're looking for http://www.guidetoonlineschools.com/interviews/how-to-become-a-computer-engineer he suggests "Algebra, trigonometry, geometry, calculus, discrete math, physics. Any sort of introductory circuits, logic design, or beginning programming would also be beneficial though the program itself should teach these subjects." This site also has more helpful info http://www.guidetoonlineschools.com/degrees/engineering/computer good luck! :)
