What are disadvantages of providing computer info to insurance company?

Recent letter sent to my elderly mom suggests getting up to a 5% discount based on car computer readout on driving habits. Is it worth the potential discount? What's the bad side (nobody who drives her car speeds or drives recklessly). It's an older model car.

Be suspicious of ANY such unsolicited offers of discounts. This one sounds like a marketing trick to me, to get her to take an 'online quiz' about her driving habits so they can say, 'Hey, look how great a drivier you are! Switch to our company and save money!' ALWAYS Best to stick to reputable auto insurers.
