I've been having these annoying pop up ads on my computer and they won't go away no matter how many tools
I download to get rid of them and the ads still won't go away. I even scanned my computer and I have anti spyware and adware installed. How do I get rid of the ads and stop them from popping up?

Alas, there is no blanket "2 click-fix" everyone would love, and the bad guys know most users keep 'out-of-the-box' browsers & OS configurations which can be compromised quite easily.
Try malwarebytes to start cleaning up your system:

With "NS" running, down on the far right corner is a blue 'S' with a red line through it: right click that> tick 'forbid (whatever)' &/or mark as 'untrusted'.
(Ticking all may reduce interactive behavior; enable just enough to get what's necessary to view the page, on a 'temporarily allow' basis)

The list is long...look for any that will help your browse sessions be 'cleaner'.

here check 'Override automatic....'; 'Allow session cookies'; 'Allow 1st party cookies' & 'Block 3rd Party Cookies'.
Using IE (all flavors) and allowing "active scripting" is the single biggest mistake people make. "Drive by installs", "Opacity based attacks", and many other malware problems arise from this feature alone...(switch to Firefox).
And, get this installed: "HOSTS file" (from mvps.org) which blocks evil webpage assets from re-directs which install malware or trashware. (Vista requires special instructions; on-page link)

Requires "Opt Out" on EVERY browser on EVERY machine.

Turn off 'spell check' may help, as this sends keystrokes back to the server also, which may be used to 'target' advertising.

How are math and making computer programs related?

I am doing an essay on how you use math to write computer programs. Where can I find information on this? I know how to write programs but I need some resources.

They are very, very related. If you get really into into it, math and computers are one and the same. A Computer Science major has to take very advanced math courses.
Here are some of the ways they are related:
1. In programming, use must often use functions such as finding average, finding GCD, finding exponents, etc. Those are just for easy programs.
2. Computers stores data in binary, decimal, octal, and hexadecimal. These are all different bases (number systems). Because programs must access and manipulated computer data, you need to know how to count, add, multiply, divide, in different bases and change values to different bases.
3. Even a beginning programmer must know the difference between integers, floating point(decimal) numbers, exponents, and arrays, and when to use them.
