I have a Macbook Pro right now as my computer. I bought it a few months before christmas of 2012. I was wondering what software it is currently running. Is it Lion, Mountain Lion, etc.? Anyone know how to check? Thanks.
Answer
Apple (top left of screen) then About This Mac > More Info...
That will show you the date of your computer, operating system, serial no. etc.
System Report will go into more detail.
Click on Software > Applications to see the relevant individual software versions.
Lion is 10.7.
Mountain Lion is 10.8.

Answer
Quite simply, you don't. The built in video cards that come on most motherboards are really low end. They use shared memory, which is really slow, and they don't have very good Direct3D or OpenGL support. If you want decent gaming performance, you pretty much have to install an external video card.
