I'm getting rid of an old computer (PC). What are the steps I need to take so that no personal info/files will be left behind on it? What's the best way to delete everything?
I also have a VERY old Mac notebook. Before I recycle it, what should I do to get rid of my old files? I can even fire up the darn thing anymore. Won't turn on...
Many Thanks!

How does a virus work and how do you even make one?

I know it screws up with your computer files but how do you even make a virus, how does it spread to your computer through a different website. No I don't want to make one I'm just wondering.
Answer
a virus is a computer program that is made to attack and destroy your system files (mainly) ...it slows down the system as it keeps your CPU busy....the trojan is different as it works in the background to collect info about your computer and send it to an external client...so usually you do not notice the trojan unless you check the registry or use a antivirus.....
about how does it get to your computer ....there are many ways ..mainly when you receive it through an email...or from a CD ...etc..
once your system is infected..it may be too late to get the viruses out...so make sure you always have a good protection on and updated to stop the virus/trojan before it infects your files....
