I am trying to run AUTO KILL DISK to wipe all info from my computer to donate it. When I put the disc in the drive,it opens a window that says AUTO KILL DISK (F:) It doesn'tlook like it is running. It installed onto my desktop but when I left click the icon, it doesn't start or give me a way to run the program. Also, is there a different or better way to do this? Thanks for any info.

Click at
Download Bootable Disk Creator for DOS version of KillDisk (Free) --> (run the program)
Plug your USB thumbdrive or Insert Floppy Disk
Drive to format --> Removable --> (choose your path) --> click START
after you finish close and restart your computer, enter boot setup and put boot option priority to the USB/floppy disk
Save & exit
now it will boot from the thumbdrive using Active KillDisk tool, you can delete all info from the interface

How do i defragment my computer to get rid of bad files and also to customize my icons?

Winston Mu
I want to get my computer to execute requested info quicker and also to place my toolbar listings so that they do not appear always on my screen when I launch onto the internet. Hope this makes sense.
Answer
The built in defragger can be accessed from Start>Accessories>System Tools>Diskdefragmenter. But the Windows program is pretty slow and doesnt defrag system files. It also needs atleast 15% free space. Among the defragmenters I have tried, I have found Diskeeper to be the most efficient. Its also very easy to use as it can be set to defrag automatically in the background, has a nice GUI and defrags system files.
