How much does a Computer Information Technology with a associate degree makes?
I am going to school for two years to earn a computer information technology associate degree at a community college.
My questions are:
How much will I make a year or hour?
What types of jobs/companies can I work for? Will my community college help me find a job after graduation?
What is the competition of getting a job is it difficult
And the last question most important* Will I make a good living with a associate degree in computer IT?
I am not planning on getting a bachelor either.
Answer
1:
Depends on the job, and the country you're in.
2:
Almost any company these days have some form of IT integrated, and IT services integrated. Your community college will likely not do squat.
3:
If you're good, eloquent, and charismatic - it's not difficult. At least it's not difficult netting the entry-level jobs. If you're a problematic character - it's quite difficult.
4:
Who knows? My psychic powers are on the fritz, ever since Neil Armstrong walked on the Moon. I certainly cannot give you any sort of authorative answer on that, and I think you should beware anyone who say they can do so.

Well as you probably know, this is projected to be a growing field over next ten years. According to to the Bureau of Labor Statistics these people "Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming."
They also say that
* "employment of computer and information systems managers is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through the year 2016."
* Median annual wage is over $100k and there should be over 9,000 job openings per year.
