My computer is pretty slow and the graphics card is not that good. Will my computer be faster and better if I get a newer windows? In that case windows 7 or 8?
Also how do I know what graphics card I have?

Your computer's performance won't necessarily improve with Windows 7. I know Vista is the worst OS, but it can work pretty much just as well as Win 7, especially when you're used to it. I still have my Vista laptop from 2007 and it runs pretty well. I use Auslogics BoostSpeed on it, and I did upgrade the RAM on it to 2 GB a while ago. I'd say if you have less than 2 gigs of memory, upgrade it to at least 2 GB. You may also look into upgrading your graphics card, if it is possible with your setup. Download Auslogics BoostSpeed and get your full system info from it (including all hardware specs, such as what graphics card you have, etc.), then run several of its tools to try and speed up your computer. It has tools to clean out junk, disable startup items, uninstall unnecessary apps and add-ons, defragment your drives, etc. It may just make enough difference to where you will be at peace with Vista and won't need to look into upgrading. How can I view a list of all of my computer's hardware and the most important, vital software?
