There is 1 problem that I had though. When i accidentally unplugged the ipod touch from the computer, while the white letters scroll down, they still kept scrolling. Will this eventually stop? The Latest info scrolling many times was â BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0â³ I would really appreciate it if you could help me. Thank you!

You should probably restore it and try jailbreaking it again. Unplugging it while jailbreaking it probably corrupted something on it.

Exactly how harmful are web site plug-ins to your OS? Is it best to avoid downloading any whatsoever?

This is a very hard question. Example I have to use "QuickTime", from APPLE for my work as a Clincal Psychiatrist. And a plug-in is necessary for my OS. Everything depends on how well you know the software and the webpage that is asking you to allow their plug-in.
Plus I use a software called "SmartWhois", that traces all webpage owners, and "CallingID, that also traces all webpages with their name and address. All of these require plug ins.
Everything is a matter of trust and knowing who you are dealing with.
My two registry scanners will remove any "active X", that is no good.
Some plug-ins, are used to send Trojan and adware.
