I'm considering enrolling in Boston Universities (online)MS in Computer Info Systems. Does anyone think that this is a bad idea? Also, does an online degree from an established university carry the same stigma as an online degree from the for-profit schools? By the way, the only way anyone would know if I got the degree online is if I told them. There are no special identifiers on the degree.
Answer
I don't think you will have any problems. Boston U is a top rate school that employers will respect. Go for it.

How much math is involved in a master of biology degree?

I have a Bachelor's degree in business admin with a concentration in computer info systems. A counselor told me I can probably get a master's degree in history or psychology without taking any prerequisite courses.
Besides history and psychology, I am also interested in biology, a more practical degree to have. However, I really dislike math. How much math is involved in a master of biology degree?
Answer
Yeah, your counselor doesn't know sh~t. I double majored in neuro and psych and have researched both courses of study for graduate school. Every psych program I considered required at least 18 credit hours in psych, if not a psych degree. Bio requires substantial background in the physical sciences. Those are both research heavy programs that necessitate a thorough background comprehension. There are programs that don't require a background in the subject. Have you considered library science?
