Although I have suggested Belarc Adviser many times on this site, I think you really need to use Everest Home Edition.
EVEREST Home Edition is a freeware system information, system diagnostics and benchmarking solution for home PC users, based on the award-winning EVEREST Technology. It offers the world's most accurate system information and diagnostics capabilities, including online features, memory benchmarks, hardware monitoring, and low-level hardware information.
This free software will give you lots more info about your computer system. It will even provide links to sites you need for more info on a particular component. You can use:
Crucial System Scanner tool - Scan your computer to find out what is already inside your system and get recommended upgrades: http://www.crucial.com/

You can try downloading and running Everest Home Free edition 2.20 from MajorGeeks.com. It may be able to identify your motherboard for you plus tell you lots of other neat things about your computer.
The other option is to try looking up your computer model number and name on the net. Many sites have the specs for most computers and their default components. Once you have the motherboard name you should be able to look up its specs for compatibility.
Your name and model should be on the front of your case, should be something like Packard Bell ####. I would not list my product key on a website....edit it out if you can.
