so i have an Asus and it runs on windows 7 and whenever i click the "computer" button to show me the info of it
it has 2 things on the tab of "hard disk drives"
it has WIN7 and DATA(D:)
the one that says WIN7 has 79.9GB and it only has 16.1GB free
the one that says DATA has 365GB and is not being used it is literally empty
it says "365GB free of 365GB"
what is the difference between these 2 files/hard drives
is the WIN7 the main one?
and what is the other one used for and why could it be empty
Answer
You either have two hard drives or one hard drive that has two partitions
The one labeled WIN7 is the one that has Windows 7 installed on it.
You can use both of them for your files. Since DATA has a lot of free space, you could move all your personal files (music, photos, videos, documents, etc.) to it and free up some space on WIN7, so that WIN7 only has system files on it.

I mistakenly let my son, who claimed to know what he was doing, download Window Ultimate 7 onto my computer. Well, needless to say, he downloaded onto the wrong disc! He put in on disc c, when, Im told, it is supposed to go on disc d. Plus he used a burned copy of Windows Ultimate. I need to REMOVE it, and I dont know how. Can anyone help me because i have very little space left on Disc c. What do I do ?
