i cannot get to the desktop in any mode, eg. safe mode or safe mode with networking ... blue screen of death....sucks!

1.Put your Windows XP installation CD into your CD drive. It should be a purple and white disk. If you cannot find one then I am afraid you half lost at the first hurdle.
2.Turn on your computer, and depending on what type of computer you have, get it to boot from the disk. To do this you usually have to get into the boot options menu, which requires pressing one of the F keys on start up. You may also have to configure the BIOS settings to boot from the CD. 3. Let the CD boot. Now for about 15 minutes, the CD will load things. Let it run. Then, follow the prompts, and choose a new XP installation. Format your drive when asked. Let XP install.
4. Your computer will reboot when this is finished. Let it go through the next setup, and configure things as you wish.
This whole process takes me about 40 minutes.

Help My computers Down and I am out of Money?

Please look at this problem. I think I made a mistake by downloading/installing Microsoft Server R2 standard edition. My computer is given me this error message.
My Computer Info. Desktop dell service ppackage 2 window Xp Professional
1st Windows could not because of a computer disk hardware config. problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check booth path and disk hardware.
Please check the windows documentation about hardware disk config. And your hardware reference manual for additional info.
So I went to, or click f8. Then I click last known good config.
Then it says please select the operating system to start.
1st line Windows server 2003, standard edition
2nd line Microsoft Windows XP
3rd line Microsoft Windows XP
How do I remove Windows server 2003?

You have to install a fresh copy of windows XP and during installation you have to format the primary partition (C:).
The easiest way is to insert the XP disk into your drive and restart the computer then go to BIOS setting >Boot then set the "Primary Boot Device" to CD-DVD Drive, then press "F10" save and exit. now your computer will reboot and you can see the operating system asking you to" press any key to continue installing.....", continue with installation process and before you select the C: partition to install windows, Click on "Format" option.
