Answer
Karen, what will this computer be used for? Surfin' the 'net? Using office programs for business? Playing games that belong on the Disney channel?

If so, GREAT! If not, you need to consider your source of information, because this budget computer setup is just for the above.

I realize I sound critical. Based on the components you listed, it would seem as if someone tried to save money, (Good thinking! I always try to base my decisions, on the 'Best Bang for the Buck' theory!),
but didn't know what components were compatible, nor do they know much about computer components.

The Foxconn M7VMX-K mobo, (Motherboard), uses DDR2 Sdram at 800MHz. This is also called PC6400. I'm not even sure if PC5300,
(DDR2 at 667MHz) would work on this mobo. If it does, it will slow things down.

The Foxconn mobo above also uses the GeForce 7050 Southbridge chip. It also uses the nForce 610 Northbridge chip. These chips are part of the Northbridge/Southbridge chipset.
They are budget, SO yesterdays news, and are practically worthless.

The ram is a budget ram memory. I realize it's probably based on price, and 'money doesn't grow on trees'. Read on, and I have info that will fix this.

The processor, is a SO yesterday component, also. I read the reviews on Newegg. The guy that replaced a Quad core processor with this one, and didn't see a difference, is on CRACK!
Many games aren't set up for use on a quad core processor. However, this is a multitask processor. There are new games out that use it, and it's great also for using more than FOUR programs at once. This guy has no clue of what he's talking about!

After the Intel Pentium dual core series, they brought out the Core2 Duo. Uses less power, develops less heat, (Heat=Wasted Energy), and has better Instruction Sets. These make it more efficient. Intel processors have evolved way past this point, but a small Core2 Duo is bargain priced now, and will kick an E2200 to the curb!

The GeForce 8500GT with 512MB's of GDDR2 graphics ram, and a 128 bit interface, is for looking at the internet with better graphics, or the disney channel games. 'Won't touch this', is a term that can be readily applied, towards games that are out now, or many of yesterdays games.

Just had a thought. Looking to play Sims2?
Okay, all the above except for the ram memory, would 'do it' for this game. WoW, C:S:S, Cyrsis, and above, Nope!

I realize that computer technology changes exponentially. Follows Moores Law. However, you can do better than this with a little more money.

If you're dead set on the above components, let me at least advise you on the proper ram, and I believe you'll find the price is lucrative also.

5.Graphics card? This is a toughie! Getting a good component for a graphics card, isn't cheap. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4209965&sku=P450-9830

The case above will do. All it's going to do is sit there. However be aware that it is made of THIN metal, and watch your FINGERS. The edges are sharp! How do I know this? Cases in this price range, tend to follow the same guidelines, plus I read the reviews. I have looked at many computer components through the last 20 years, and the same Ol' stuff still applies. You get what you pay for with a computer case.
Should work just fine, however.

Toss the power supply up on a shelf, for when one of your friends power supplies dies, and they need to get stuff off of their computer.
I guarantee you this one will fail, just when you have the most important thing going on, on your computer. Might take some of your computer components with it!

Edit: My Bad! You're going to need a heatsink/fan combo for the processor. Whatever processor you choose. The E2200 uses an LGA 775 socket. You need a heatsink/fan combo that fits that.
You need some thermal paste also. This, is to apply on the top of the processor's case. Goes in between the processor, and the heatsink/fan combo. Transfers heat from the processor to the heatsink. DON'T run a processor without this stuff! It will burn up! (I mean BURN, as in on FIRE!)
