So, our home computer is like...infected with all of these viruses and hacks. My mom was using it, and she said that it just sorta popped up. Now, there Win 7 Home Security windows open everywhere. It says that there are 30 super bad viruses, and I can't make sure of this, since I cant open my McAfee scanner. I can't go onto the internet, since it wont let us, and it says that private info could be stolen, and that some other system wants to control the computer. Every time I click on the W7HS2012 button to clean everything, I either have to buy it, or use some key password. Is this fake? Or is this real, and the computer is jacked up?

Restart your computer. Force it off if you have to, wait 10 seconds, then turn it on again.
As it's starting up, keep pressing F8 until a menu pops up. Navigate with the arrow keys to Safe Mode With Networking and hit (or just press) Enter.
Then log on, get Superantispyware or whatever you think will do the job, download it, and run the rescue scan (most just have a Full Scan but SuperAntiSpyware has a rescue scan, which has saved my computer many times before).
Afterwards, restart, and I suggest getting Avast for future protection, since SuperAntiSpyware scans well, but it doesn't stop them from coming in, for free at least.

Computer wont boot. Windows 7. PLEASE HELP!?

I tryed to install windows xp on my external, so i format ittry to install and as its booting the cd rom i got blue screen of death. retryed to same effect. So i try booting it from my hard drive which has windows 7 installed and now i get a "windows could nat start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware." error. Please help, i had so much stuff on my original harddrive and this would be really bad to loose. PLEASE!!!

IF YOU DO have your Win 7 DVD do this: Turn on your computer, insert the dvd, press F2 during boot and reconfigure your BIOS to boot from "internal disk drive" under the setup tab OR try pressing F12 during boot and choose "boot from internal disk drive" or something similar to that. Then when the windows 7 menu comes up and says select, language, country, etc. select your corresponding info and press next. When the window comes up saying Install Now, DO NOT click that, instead under that there will be "Repair Your Windows" or something, click that and select Windows Startup Repair. That should fix your problem.
