my specs are Inspiron 530 Intel Core2 processor Q6600 (2.40Ghz 1066FSB) w/Quad Core Technology and 8MB cache

It looks like your computer has only one graphics slot so you won't be able to do SLI. You can however upgrade the graphics card to much higher performance. Here is the latest graphics card info from Tom's Hardware.
Also, keep in mind that if you up size the graphics performance, you will probably have to get a bigger power supply to support it.
