Q. The computer runs normal when first booted but if you try to do several processes at once it will freeze. I have throughly check the computer for Viruses and Spyware the system is clean. Also when the computer freezes or runs very slow the CPU is reading 99% idol, so no processes are running. Do you think it could be a memory or hard drive issue?
I've killed all unnecessary services and remove all items from MSCONFIG and the System Registry. Also, I have over 20 GB of free space on my hard drive. The system is a HP Laptop, with 1 GB of memory.
Thanks for your reponses.

Can a windows 98 computer run wireless internet?
Q. I am trying to hook up a desktop computer running windows 98 (NOT WINDOWS 98 SE) to an existing dsl connection wirelessly. Are their any network adapters that are compatible.
Answer
I dug up some info from microsoft.com
Windows Me, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0 Support
Q. What wireless support is built into Windows Me, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0?
A. There is no built-in wireless LAN support in Windows Me, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0. Wireless network adapter manufacturers must supply all wireless and authentication functionality for these versions of Windows.
To configure a wireless client computer running Windows Me, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0, you must use the wireless configuration tool provided by your wireless network adapter manufacturer. Please see the instructions for the wireless configuration tool to configure 802.11 and 802.1X authentication settings.
