I mean, I worked for this one staffing firm back in 1998, will they still have my info in their database?
Answer
Normally about a year at in "near desk" meaning quick access to your files in their database and you are still searchable. After that, they may have it just on paperfile folder stuffed somewhere or on database (microfische) maybe that is searchable if they remember you. Other than that, they will likely not go to those older files. Its best if you go back to your agency and re-apply. You obviously probably increaded your education level (graduated or whatever), new training and experience. Good Luck!

What is the best computer program to keep database of clients?

I am a new real estate agent and looking for a computer program that I can keep all my clients records in. One that will remind me of important dats (their birthdays, anniversary etc.) And I have a mac. So a mac program that will do all this... if anyone knows that would be great! Thanks!
Also, how much do these programs cost?
Answer
Top Producer and Agent Office are good programs. I use ACT. It is by far more affordable and you can customize it to fit your needs. Just like the other 2 it can automatically send birthday, anniversary and holiday cards up to 3 years without you doing anything. You can set up mail merges that will customize every email with their info on it and send 1000 email in 1 minute all personalized. You can buy an older version as low a 3.0 for these capabilities for probably $10 on ebay. They have Mac versions also, my broker uses it on his Mac. Good luck out there
